COMMENTS:
I felt our team played really well throughout the game. Even as
Madonna took the lead on former SC player, Jessica Austin's goal. I
thought our players kept fighting and were relentless even with minutes
left in the game.
We have a lot of respect for Madonna and being cross-town rivals, we
really look forward to this game every year. And once more, the game
didn't disappoint the spectators.
The game was physical and hard-fought. Our players really stood up to
the challenge and their hard work and determination paid off. All of our
mid-fielders did a tremendous job. They tracked back when they needed to
and played with composure when we had the ball.
Both of our goal keepers (Kristen Donzilla & Ashley Chandler) played
each half and both were strong in the net stopping Madonna's forwards.
